Fifty years ago, Ropack began with two sugar-pouch machines.

At the time, no one could have imagined where the company would go. Five decades later, Ropack has changed significantly. Our expertise has grown. Our activities have diversified. Our place in the industry has evolved.

But one thing has never changed: the way we think.

Fifty years was a milestone worth celebrating properly. So, we created a video that tells our story. It’s not just a look back at the past. It’s a reminder of what brought us here, and what will continue to drive us forward.

We’ve never settled for the status quo

From day one, the status quo has never been part of our DNA.

Ropack was built by people who saw problems as opportunities: to think differently, to find a better way, to keep moving forward. That mindset shaped our beginnings in food and nutraceutical packaging, and it’s what later pushed us to go further, bringing our manufacturing and packaging expertise into a new sector: pharmaceuticals.

We didn’t make that shift to create medicines. We did it to help our partners manufacture quality products that people can rely on. Today, Ropack supports pharmaceutical partners in the manufacturing and packaging of oral solid dosage forms, and offers services for clinical trials across Canada. We don’t have our own products. What comes next

A 50th anniversary is an opportunity to look back on the journey we’ve taken and be proud of how far we’ve come. But at Ropack, we’re even more excited about looking ahead.

Markets are evolving, our clients’ needs are changing, and technology is opening up new possibilities. One thing remains unchanged: the greatest advances often begin with an idea, a question, or simply the desire to do things differently. 50 years already. And we’re just getting started.
